Might as well face it...

Ben, Josie, and Will

Ben with the T-Rex and Mama

Will checking out the ceramic alligator

"Will, hold the goose and I'll climb on his back!"

We are addicted to animals.

The boys talk about the zoo, lions, bears, puppies, monkeys all the time! Pretty much anything that is furry and makes cool noises is right up their alley.

Will sleeps with his favorite zoo book. He can tell the difference between a rhino and a hippo. He loves to talk about giraffe long necks. Will makes a funny elephant noise too.

Ben loves to pretend he is a puppy. Josie taught him to fetch too . (What are big sisters for?!) He loves to tell you about the stripes on the zebra and monkeys in the trees. There are now dinosaurs at the zoo for the summer. Out of 8 kinds of dinosaurs, Ben runs straight to the Tyrannosaurus Rex, points up and says, "T-Rex Mama! T-Rex!!"

We have a trail near our house. On the trail are a bunch of fake animals. There is a ceramic gator, turtle, and frog. There is also a fake goose on someone's back porch that backs up to the trail. The boys get so fired up to see the animals on our walk. They want to pet each one. Unfortunately the goose is the perfect size for them to try to sit on.

Tubes for Twins

Ben, Billy, and Will right before surgery. Ben definitely knows something is up.
Afternoon picnic with Ben and Will. Notice Will's new cheesy smile. :)
Ben and his baby
Will and Ben last Friday (Will is sporting his cheesy smile, not crying)

Last week was a long week in the Bemis house. It started with these tiny little tubes put into four tiny little ears. When we woke the boys up to go to their tube surgery last Tuesday they knew something was up. When the nurse took Will, he let out a little whimper (in absolute Will fashion). Ben looked at me like your just gonna let her take him?! Ben kept saying, "Will. Get him." The doctor came in about 5 minutes later and said Will did great. The nurse came to get Ben and when I handed him over he screamed bloody murder (in absolute Ben fashion). A couple minutes later they brought Will back. He was a little loopy still. He kept saying, "Ben. Where are you. I scared." It sort of melted my heart.

When we brought them home they were a little tired, but overall seemed happy. That evening Ben started to run a high fever (102.7). On Wednesday they said I could give him Ibuprofen since Tylenol wasn't bringing down his fever. They usually don't let you give Ibuprofen for two weeks after surgery. Switching between the two helped, but the poor guy was so miserable. He ended up throwing up twice and 7 days later finally stopped running a fever. At first they thought maybe he was having a reaction to the surgery. I was so scared. We went back in last Thursday and had both boys checked. Tubes are healing perfect! Originally we were suppose to give ear drops for 5 days, but two days post surgery they were doing so well we could stop. I was so relieved to find out we happened to get a stomach bug at the same time. I can handle a stomach bug! The only bad thing is, we are on the tail end of Ben's bug and Will spiked a fever. Looks like we've got more fun ahead!

Boy oh Boy

Ben and Will ready to play outside!

Check out that neck!

Here is the latest and greatest with the Bemis boys:

Will still loves to color and 99% of the time he'll tell you the correct color too. What color is the sky, the grass, our car, or a flower? Will will gladly tell you. For a week straight Will's favorite saying was "I don't like it". But it came out more like this, "Idonlikeit". Even before he would try the food or drink he would shake his head admittedly and say "Idonlikeit". Needless to say we were grateful when last week he started to say "Ilikeit!" It still comes out as one word, but the tone is in a surprising voice like he can't believe he likes it!

Ben has become our singer. About two weeks ago Ben started singing his ABC's. I've been really pushing this little ditty as I have a video of Josie right at the two year mark singing her ABC's clear as day and thought it'd be great if the boys learned how by then too. Ben has picked it up and ran with it. He sings it none stop. Ben jumps on stage (aka our fireplace) sings his heart out. Then he jumps off and yells "Thank you!" Ben started singing twinkle twinkle little star this weekend. It's pretty cute. His favorite saying is "Dish-one". "Ben what outfit do you want to wear?" His response, "I want dish-one."

Both boys are really into animals. We can talk about the giraffe's long neck for hours. Or pretend to be dogs and fetch toys for Josie. Will and Ben love to swing. They love to go super high and like to "pump" their legs just like their sister.
