Hawaii makes happy feet

The boys love to dance. While we were in Hawaii they were strutting their stuff with the best of them. Here are a few videos of Ben and Will, a.k.a. the dance machines.

Identity Crisis...

We are currently experiencing an identity crisis between the boys. No fear, we know who is who, but the boys are the ones who are confused.

We play a game in our house called raise your hand. As in raise your hand if you love green beans. Raise your hand if you love Josie. Raise your hand if your name is Ben/Will.

Well currently both boys raise their hand on either name. Sometimes one will point to the other when it's their own name which then causes the other to point to their brother too.

This always ends with bursts of laughter from us all. I can only imagine who Will and Ben will trick in their life. At least by then they'll know who they are...hopefully!

One day...

Will with his prized possession... the Elmo coloring book.

Ben rocking the mic

While I already posted our big new year's in Minnesota, I realized I didn't post anything about Christmas. So let me back track a bit, because one day you boys might just wonder "what did I get for Christmas when I was 16months old?!"

Christmas was magical. It was fun to see all 3 of you get excited when we went through the Jolly Holly lights tour. Every day we turned on the little Christmas tree and you two would point and say, "tree! tree! tree!" While Josie always found Holden (our Elf on a shelf) first, you two loved to show us where he was that day and wave to him.

While neither of you were ready to sit on Santa's lap this year (I totally persuaded you to give him a high five but the line was quickly drawn there), you both loved to show us where Santa was on Grandma and Grandpa's fireplace.

Oh and the almond bark dipped pretzels quickly became a delicious dessert for both of you. Not sure if there is another food at this time that got as many "more please" in sign language and verbally.

Out of all the gifts you got from Santa, I'd say Will's favorite was by far this Elmo coloring book. Ben's favorite gift was probably the microphone like the one at music class. Both boys love to say "boom boom boom" like Ms Deb does in music.

The gift you stole from your sister the most is probably her Tag Junior reading system. Which works out well, since right now I think she plays with your train set more than either of you.

New Years Eve in Minnesota

We spent our New Year's weekend in Minnesota for Kendric's wedding. It was fun and cold! Here are the highlights from the boy's perspective.

Creating our own dance party at the wedding!

Will was pretty pumped to have a cookie picnic on the hotel bed

Ben ate it up that big sister Josie would feed him cookies in bed.

Getting to swim in the hotel pool while there was loads of snow outside. Ben on the left, Will on the right.

We love Elmo

The boys have recently fallen in love with a red furry little monster that goes by the name of Elmo. They've met Elmo in person by way of our tickle me Elmo and little stuffed Elmo as well as in multiple books. They had never seen Sesame Street or Elmo on TV up until last week. That's when I captured this picture. I love it, because even though it's been almost 16months I still grin from ear to ear when I see our twin boys. One of my favorite things is that I'll always see double the rest of my life.

We love our sister!

Will and Ben adore Josie. Ben wants to do everything she does. She laughs and puts her head back and two seconds later Ben is doing the same. Josie goes down the stairs like a big kid and Ben refuses to scoot. He wants to walk down. Will likes his sister too. He doesn't always mimic her, but he Will give her his best smile, belly laugh, and lots of claps too.

There favorite thing to do with their sister is climb on her and wrestle her to the ground. Like the picture above. Will is still in his pajamas. This tends to be a daily occurrence.

Yesterday, Billy said to Ben "Where is your sister, where is Josie?" He goes running over to her and gives her a close line that knocks her to her feet. After that we decided maybe pointing to who we are looking for is a better option.

My two men

The boys are growing up fast. Here are some fun things they are doing!

Ben started walking just before his first birthday. Now he runs! Everywhere. So fast that sometimes he can't slow down in time. He is still such a snuggle bug. In the morning he will finish his bottle and come running over for cuddle time. He loves to moo and roar at pictures of cows and lions. Ben is a sharer. If he has two binkies he will bring one to Will. He loves to shake his finger at Will and say "no-no". Ben is loud and just a little bit more sensitive then his big brother.

Will has just started to consider walking. For a bit, crawling was the way he could get there faster than Ben. But now that Ben is running he is getting to the finish line sooner. So last week, Will took 4 steps in a row. He's been doing the same about every day now. He finally seems interested in it! Will is a master climber. He can climb on the kitchen table faster than you can blink. When you tell him no he only gets more determined. He loves to steal Ben's binky and crawl away and giggle. He gets super excited when he sees balloons. Will loves to point and show you everything around you. From trees to buttons, the kid is very observant.

My boys might look alike, but they continue to show me they have their very own personalities. I love them more everyday!
